Why Newdawn?

NEWDAWN has been a life long dream. As a child, I looked to the stars and was fascinated by my favorites science fiction authors who became a guiding light to the world of tomorrow. Today, NEWDAWN is a macrocosm based on social evolution, science, and technology shaping the future.

NEWDAWN ROAMERS is the first of the NEWDAWN Saga, starting the adventure into 2018 to 2098 and beyond. Set amidst glorious architecture with lushly futuristic decor, NEWDAWN Saga shines an unwavering light into the complex reality of a technologically infused, performance-driven society unfolding in 2098.

ROAMERS is an exciting science fiction odyssey taking us deep into the dynamics of a trans-human world in the not too distant future. DAINN, our A.I., provides every aspect necessary for the sustenance of our new and improved race, which is ironically run by the young.

In the NEWDAWN Saga, I explore the beautiful balance of fantasy and thought provoking-reality that will impact our species in the years ahead, shaping our future today… To many, it sounds promising; to some, it seems intimidating, but to me, it resonates as exciting. This future, a small six-letters word envelopes the promise of a new existence filled with unforeseen possibilities. Yet, our present as the prelude to the impending future we weave remains one small cog, one minuscule component in the infinitesimal timeline we share within our universe.  The connectivity of this invisible thread in the space continuum is undeniable and creates a web of unpredictable outcomes.

As tomorrow unfolds, we can certainly acknowledge that it depends in part on the choices we make today.  Indeed, countless outside factors contribute to the shape our future will take.  And while we preview this upcoming world of tomorrow, I cannot help but imagine the temptations and the miracles that it withholds.

Looking back into the past certainly offers a trend of what we might expect. Considering our starting point, and what our evolution has been, we indeed have a historical road map of facts and events to evaluate.  As human beings, we have achieved much and have reached far.  But we have also fallen short in many respects. And while I am in awe at the adaptability of our incredible body, the ingenuity of our mind, the relentless will to survive born from our inherent nature, I can also appreciate our shortcomings. Indeed, we have demonstrated, in some instances, thoughtful and generous actions toward people and causes around the globe, but we can account for an equally great ability for blindness. Examples of inequities in our world abound.

The state of our planet is undoubtedly an indication of our priorities. Climate change is indeed showing us how dire things are... And still, after plundering our natural resources and impacting our environment to the brink of destruction, we remain impervious to what lays ahead for us as a result. This indifferent behavior will take us into the next millennia and forge a world that will only contribute to our demise unless...  We choose otherwise. One glimpse at the miracle of science and technology, and we can appreciate even at this very moment, the path that lies ahead.

Sceince and technology are intricately interwoven and will affect our lifestyles and businesses. They will bring us a thrill of experiences and will play a massive part in the evolution of humanity. It is the inevitable dawn of the machine -- the computer as an intelligent force influencing a way of life. If we cannot envision the paths ahead, the various scenarios in which we play a role, how can we begin to maintain our choices in our evolution? If we do not anticipate, how can we not be blindsided and wake-up one day in a world no longer of our own making? NEWDAWN, amidst love, adventure, conflicts, betrayals, power plays, and many twists and turns, is an epic story that highlights possibilities for the journey unfolding ahead.
